Together, scope and execute a project that uses human-centered design principles, tools, and mindsets, to create new products, services and organizations. Success has been found with teams who are stalled, second guessing the way forward or are in need of a “home run.”
New strategies and offers come with inherent risks. Kerry can de-risk your initiative through research and prototyping, and help teams to inexpensively test the waters at small scales before allocating greater resources to any particular direction.
Helping a wide variety of designers and business leaders create their best work is a skill that takes years to build, and Kerry has spent her career doing just that. She is able to help designers connect what they are doing to the health of the business to deliver more viable and considered designs. And she is able to help leaders under the value of design and how to better guide a design function.
There are many places where a company, department, or team can improve. By assessing what could change and offering tools, strategies, and solutions for what to do differently, Kerry helps organizations transform how they work to deliver better output.
Women’s health is catering to a user who is demanding better products while tackling shifting taboos and norms. Given her experience as an entrepreneur in the women’s health space, Kerry is adept at understanding sensitive, private topics and translating that into desirable products and sustainable businesses.
Together, scope and execute a project that uses human-centered design principles, tools, and mindsets, to create new products, services and organizations. Success has been found with teams who are stalled, second guessing the way forward, or are in need of a “home run.” The project can include any, or all, of the following:
Using interview, observation, and other anthropological techniques to uncover what clear and latent needs user have in the area that you are interested in
Learning the unobvious truths that drive and define the current behavior of your users
Generating many options for how a user’s problems can be solved
Embodying an idea in tangible, interactive and inexpensive formats to quickly elicit reactions and feedback from users
Iterating and refining a new offer in a higher resolution format that serves as a template for what your organization will build
Analyzing the market, and your organization’s capabilities, in order to create options for the components of a business model (such as revenue model, pricing, sales channel, etc.) that can then be tested with users, and iterated
Mapping the tactics and rationale for introducing a new, user-centered offer to the market in a way that connects to user insights and is distinct from that of competitors
